A day out in Bangalore
See the world with me and get lost in dreams
It was another weekend, and I woke up late on Sunday which was reason to cancel my long trip away from city. Time was a constraint for me to travel out of city, so I was looking for a great destination to get away for a break which is located in city premises, Bangalore.
Bangalore is capital of Karnataka state, which is also known as "Garden City" located in the southern part of country. The present day city was founded by Kempe Gowda. It is known for it's pleasant climate through out the year which attracts a lot of tourists. If you are in Bangalore there are a lot of places which you can't afford to miss.
As, I realised it's International Tigers Day, I taught visiting Bannerghatta National Park would be amazing idea. Because it is popular national park for large number of wild animals like Tigers, lions, leopard and wild boar . It was started in 1974, which was later on added with butterfly park, safari, boating. It is located in champakadhama hills which is located 40 km away from the city.
As it is said, last minute plan will always be the best. I got ready in sometime and started my journey at 11am. If you are travelling alone, bus would be the best way to travel as there are frequent buses to park place from Majestic. It is preferable to get a Volvo pass which will cost you around 150 rs will help you to travel across city the entire day.
Bannerghatta is with in the city premises, but will give you different experience as it takes you away from all the city traffic and people. This park has a wide variety of animals, birds and reptiles. Especially Butterfly park, which is the first and one unique kind in the country, which will give wonderful and memorable memories, especially if you are animal lover. Kids would love to visit this place again and again.

| As soon as you get down, you have to buy an entry ticket. I was there on Sunday, which is usually very crowded day. Even though there was very big queue, it didn't take much time to get entry tickets as it was very quick . In weekdays the cost and visitors will be comparatively less. |
You get to see lot of stalls in entrance, which has wide variety of stuffs. If you are here for first time, don't forget to carry home something which will remind you of this outing forever. If you are a food lover, there are lot of hotels and small stalls which has wide variety of food and chats.
Be prepared to walk quite sometime inside the park, if you are interested to see various animals, birds and reptiles in the zoo. It won't be a great place to visit in hot time. If it's just drizzling or cloudy, that would probably give you the wonderful experience to be in the park. If you have to add some more memories, you should go to safari which will give you experience to see white tiger, royal Bengal tiger, lion and all other wild animals in the forest. You have buses and jeeps which will take you inside very safely. If you are a photography lover and in a group you can even choose for a jeep safari which will be undoubtedly memorable experience for your team. It is around 45 minutes ride in forest. I have also added few pictures of my safari trip, which gave me chance to see animals roaming around freely, playing with their mates and resting.
And here is the tiger, the reason for me to visit this park today.
Happy International Tigers Day Boy.

There is also boating facility inside the park, to those who wish to do. But it is bit expensive.

There I got to see majestic lions, tigers upclose to our bus in their natural habitats. They have set up few things to get the ambience of forest atmosphere.
I think it would be great if they improve maintenance of toilets, and build quality roads from Bannerghatta village to park area, which is awful now. If you just, ignore these park should give you great experience.
Can't wait for next weekend..to go on a next trip
So to be on safer side, go meet animals and make them friends, because life without friends is boring.
And it was one more great weekend travelling alone..Next time when you are in Bangalore, don't miss to visit this wonderful place and bag some memories back home and you'll never regret for being in this beautiful city.
Special edition for animal lovers. Love animals. They are the assets of our earth.
